The Marquette County Sheriff's Department responded to a three vehicle crash in Marquette Township on Monday that sent two people to Marquette General Hospital.
According to the sheriff's department, 21-year-old Patrick Smith of Escanaba pulled out from the Lowe's parking lot on to US-41 in his Pontiac Grand Prix. He pulled out into the path of a 54-year-old woman in a Pontiac Vibe from Essexville, identified as Doris Perry, causing a crash. The Pontiac Vibe was then forced into the path of a Ford F150. The F150 then rolled an unknown number of times, coming to rest on its wheels.
The two people in the Grand Prix were not injured, but the driver and passenger of the Vibe both complained of neck and back injuries and were taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment. Raymond Gregory, the 53-year-old man driving the Ford F150, was not injured in the crash.
The Marquette County Sheriff's Department says that Smith was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
