A group of hikers making their way from Ishpeming to Bay Cliff Health Camp were greeted by campers upon their arrival.
Kevin Kukala and his brother Brian, along with Wilbur and Justin Jennings, made the 32-mile trek from Al Quaal Recreation Area in Ishpeming all the way to Big Bay. It was part of the "Hike for Tykes" fund-raiser. The men brought a check for $3,300 they raised for the camp. They said it was a hard trek, but very fulfilling.
"My little bother came here (Bay Cliff) when he was younger, and just to know that we're part of a cause that brings kids up like the way they do, gives them an opportunity to be part that, it's a good feeling all together," said Wilbur Jennings.
Once they were greeted by the campers, the hikers said all they wanted to do was take off their packs and eat some lunch, which is exactly what they did.
