A trial date has been set for the driver of the semi that struck and killed a couple in Gladstone in March.
Twenty-four-year-old Harley Durocher of Gwinn appeared in court on Monday to find out that his trial is set for December 2 through 6.
Durocher is accused of driving a semi owned by LJ Roberto Logging, for whom he was an employee, under the influence of a controlled substance, causing a three vehicle accident on March 20. He is also accused of running a red light.
The accident happened on US-2/41/M-35 and South Hill Road in Gladstone. Killed in the crash were Thomas Swift and his wife, Barbara, both 73 year olds of Escanaba.
The driver of a third vehicle, 72-year-old Joyce Scheriff of Gladstone, was injured in the crash.
