Police say alcohol might be a factor in a high-speed chase that resulted in the injury of one officer early Thursday morning in the Village of Baraga.
According to police, the suspect was driving in excess of 90 miles an hour and damaged several patrol vehicles during the pursuit. The Baraga Police Department reported that one Keweenaw Bay Tribal Police officer was injured during the police chase and taken to Baraga County Memorial Hospital.
The vehicle was eventually stopped, and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
The suspect's name is not being released at this time, pending an arraignment. Police are still investigating the incident and additional information is not available at this time.
