The suspects in an Alger County home invasion, armed robbery case appeared in court Friday morning for preliminary hearings.
Samantha Jo Menerey, 20, and Richard Anthony Vanpelt, 29, allegedly broke into an Autrain Township home on County Road 440 last month.
According to police, Menery lured out the homeowner in the middle of the night claiming to have a flat tire. She and Vanpelt then entered the home and beat up 19-year-old Allen Miron and stole numerous items.
Menery, of Bay City, is charged with first degree home invasion and armed robbery, and Vanpelt is also charged with first degree home invasion and armed robbery, plus assault and unlawful imprisonment.
Both were bound over to Alger County Circuit Court and will be arraigned May 6.
