Two suspects have been taken into custody in relation to the counterfeit bill case in Hancock.
According to the Michigan State Police Calumet Post, the two men were arrested after a traffic stop in Hancock at 7:40 p.m. Monday.
A 43-year-old Illinois man was arrested on charges of operating under the influence of drugs after police reported evidence of drug use, marijuana and an unknown powdery substance.
A 32-year-old Minnesota man was arrested on a valid bench warrant out of Houghton County for Child Support. Two additional passengers in the vehicle were released, pending further investigation.
Police are still investigating the issue. The case regarding the counterfeit bills is being handled by the Hancock Police Department and has been handed off to the prosecuting attorney for review.
