The Michigan State Police Negaunee Post assisted the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) in a traffic stop on Marquette County Road 496 near County Road CKH in Ely Township.
Inside the stopped vehicle, police discovered components used for the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
A 29-year-old female and a 20-year-old male were arrested at the scene for possession of methamphetamine components and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.
The male subject was also arrested on two outstanding warrants out of Delta County.
UPSET Certified Meth Responders separated all of the components and placed them in approved containers.
The Marquette County Sheriff's Department also assisted in the arrest.
