      Two injured in Christmas day crash

      Two people were hospitalized on Christmas day after being injured in a car crash in Ishpeming Township.

      Police say the two car accident happened around 2 p.m. on Deer Lake Road near Cooper Lake Road.

      The Marquette County Sheriff's Department says 18-year-old Kori Faull of Ishpeming was traveling north on Deer Lake Road when she lost control and crossed into oncoming traffic. Her vehicle crashed into a GMC Terrain driven by 79-year-old Kenneth Lafayette of Marquette.

      Kenneth's wife suffered neck and chest injuries, while Faull suffered a head injury. Both were transported to Bell Hospital.

      Kori Faull was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
