Two of the three men charged with illegally killing a cougar have been sentenced. Troy Richard and Theodore Richard both pleaded guilty to killing the cougar in northeastern Schoolcraft County.
Troy Richard was given 30 days in jail, along with fines and community service. He also lost his hunting license for this year and the next three years.
Theodore Richard was sentenced to 24 months probation along with fines and community service.
A third man involved, Todd Richard, pleaded not guilty to all charges.
A court date for him has not yet been set.
