Two men have been taken into custody following a home invasion in Marquette. Kyler Brock Arrieta and Johnathan Daniel Roy are being charged with home invasion and felony firearm.
Police responded to a report of a home invasion at 6:43 a.m. Friday. Police say the suspects gained entry through an unsecured door. The homeowner was physically assaulted.
Police say one of the suspects brandished a firearm during the home invasion. Police received a description of the two suspects and their car. A short time later, officers found the car and the suspects in the Orianna Preserve area. The two men were arrested without incident.
During the execution of a search warrant, officers located stolen property and firearms in a residence and vehicle.
The suspects will be arraigned Monday morning. Home invasion is a 20 year felony. Felony firearm is a two year felony.
Police say it appears there is no prior connection between the suspects and the victim. The victim sought his own treatment for non life threatening injuries. The investigation continues and may result in further charges being authorized at a later date.
Marquette Police were assisted on the scene by the Marquette County Sheriff's Office and the Michigan State Police.
