Two Upper Michigan natives win fishing tournament

Two of the nation's best walleye anglers live in the Upper Peninsula.

Jaimee Tourangeau and Ross Neaubauer are Cabella's National Team Championship first place winners.

They won the three day tournament, beating over 200 teams. Their prizes included $30,000, two Ranger boats, all-star rings and trophies.

The prizes are not the most important part of winning. This team really appreciates the recognition.

"It's just great to know I'm among the best of the best, and we've proven that," said Tourangeau. "So, it's awesome, it's a great feeling, and I hope to do it again someday."

Jaimee plans on spending his winnings on home improvements and paying off some bills.
