Michigan State Police Troopers responded to a personal injury crash involving an RV motorhome and a car in Sagola Township.
MSP reports that at approximately 4:10 p.m. on August 7, an RV motorhome, driven by 74-year-old Conrad Kontio of Champion, was traveling south on M-95. A passenger car, driven by 34-year-old Andrew Vogt of Mount Prospect, IL, was attempting to exit the BP Gas Station, failed to yield to the RV and was struck.
Andrew Vogt and 33-year-old Maylene Vogt were both transported to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries. A 2-year-old in the Vogt car was not injured due to being properly restrained in a child car seat.
All parties involved in the crash were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not said to be a factor in the incident. Vogt was cited for failure to yield to oncoming traffic.
MSP Troopers were assisted at the scene by S.T.A.R Ambulance, Beacon Ambulance and the Dickinson County Sheriff's Department.
