Upper Peninsula Menards stores are teaming with the U.S. Marine Corps serving as a drop-off site for Toys for Tots program. The community is encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys in the boxes located by the exit doors. All donated toys will be distributed to local children in need. Toys can be purchased anywhere, and Menards has a variety of toys available at their cash registers for convenience. In the past two weeks, the Escanaba Menard's has collected more than 700 toys.
"I just like to see the look on the kids faces when they get a Christmas toy. I've seen children in the area that have received them and it makes you feel good," said Escanaba Menards Assistant General Manager, Scott Thill.
The Escanaba and Marquette Menards stores are collecting toys through the middle of December.
