Upper Michigan anglers are gearing up for fishing seasons that open on Thursday, according to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
Seasons for walleye, northern pike and muskellunge and the catch-and-immediate-release bass season for all U.P. waters open on May 15.
The DNR says possession season for bass begins statewide on May 24, except for Lake St. Clair, the St. Clair River and the Detroit River. Those seasons open on June 21.
