      Upper Michigan residents robbed at gunpoint

      State Police continue their search for two armed robbery suspects in Baraga County. Police released pictures of the two men wanted in a home invasion and armed robbery in the area of M-28 in Watton.

      The first suspect is described as a white male in his late 20's with a darker complexion. He's approximately 6'0" tall and 185 pounds with short brown hair, teal green eyes and a light colored goatee. He was wearing a white shirt with a brown, blue and red horizontal stripe across the chest.

      The second suspect is a white male in his early 20's with a darker complexion. He's approximately 5'8" 165 pounds with brown hair. He was wearing a black sweatshirt with red jogging pants.

      Police say at 4:50 p.m. Thursday afternoon, the two suspects held two residents at gunpoint. The suspects stated they were US Marshals. They demanded $10,000 ransom from family members and threatened to shoot them if they did not comply.

      The victims were unharmed. The suspects fled after stealing a handgun and the victims personal identification.

      They were driving a white Cadillac Escalade pickup and were last seen traveling east on M-28.

      The Michigan State Police are reporting the armed robbery of a Covington Township home that happened on Thursday.

      According to police, two men identified as being white with dark complexions entered the home at around 10 p.m. and held two victims at gunpoint. The two victims had their wallets, identification and a handgun taken from the residence.

      Suspects were described as wearing hoodies and driving a white Cadillac Escalade EXT pickup truck.
