The Upper Peninsula Children's Museum hosted a National Noon Out gathering for young children and their families Friday. The event is related to the National Night Out.
Though the event is about kids enjoying entertainment such as live music and getting to sit in a fire truck, it's also about showcasing how our police and fire departments serve the community.
"We're trying to put an emphasis that we've got police services, fire services around us that really do a great job of keeping us safe and healthy". said museum manager Jim Edwards.
A therapy dog from SuperiorLand Pet Partners was also on hand for the kids to play with during the hour-long event.
