The verdict is guilty against Jason Sadowski and Charles Cope. The jury reached their decision around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the torture and unlawful imprisonment case.
The jury found Jason Sadowski, 43, guilty on seven charges, including Torture, Unlawful Imprisonment, Assault, and Solicitation of Murder. He was found not guilty on a single charge of first degree Criminal Sexual Conduct.
Charles Cope, 66, was found guilty on all four charges, two counts each of Unlawful Imprisonment and Torture.
According to police, on July 3, 2013, Sadowski tied up two women in the basement of his martial arts studio.
Authorities say he did that after learning they stole money from him. They also say Charles Cope, who lives in the basement, helped tie them up.
Police then say the women were assaulted and held against their will for hours.
A sentencing date for Sadowski and Cope has not yet been set.
They could both face life in prison.
