Veterans depart for trip to Washington D.C.

On Wednesday morning nearly 80 World War II and Korean War veterans took off on the sixth Upper Peninsula Honor Flight Mission.

This is a free opportunity for veterans to see their war memorials in Washington D.C. The veterans will be arriving back home Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m. The community is encouraged to join the welcome home ceremony at the Delta County Airport.
