Veterans encouraged to ask for help

Saturday, the VA Vet Center in Escanaba opened its doors to the public. It originally opened in 2007 but recently expanded to the whole first floor of their building.

The open house was to show residents the expansion and let them know about services offered, which include free counseling for combat veterans and their families.

??Don??t be afraid to come and get help,?? says Mike King, a member of the Marine Corp League. ??And ladies, if you??re out there and your husband's having problems, please come and ask for help. You just have to ask,.??

Combat veterans that think they may need readjustment counseling are encouraged to contact the post at (906) 233-0244
