      Veterans visited by Forgotten Eagles

Sixteen veterans from the D.J. Jacobetti Home in Marquette got a visit from motorcyclists from the Forgotten Eagles Wednesday.

As a line of motorcyclists made their way through Marquette and down US-41, they stopped to greet veterans who waited at the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 380 in Negaunee.

Once the bikes made their way into the parking lot, veterans looked on with smiles on their faces.

Members from the Forgotten Eagles even took the time to shake each veteran's hand.

"I think it was pretty nice. I enjoyed it. I like watching the motorbikes when they came by. It was a lot different and I was really surprised to see them. I'll probably hang out with these guys and then head back to the Jacobetti Home," said Russell Wendrick, retired US Navy.

As for the riders, their next stop is the Copper Country, and Thursday they will visit the VA Hospital in Iron Mountain.
