Motorcycle riders from Chapter 1 of the Michigan Forgotten Eagles made a stop in Negaunee Township Wednesday as part of an annual tour.
They call it the Ride Around Michigan, or Ram-Ride, and they stopped to have lunch put on by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 380. The Vietnam Veterans Post had a full spread ready for the riders. A bus full of veterans from the Jacobetti Home for Veterans also attended the lunch. The Forgotten Eagles tour many locations in Michigan on their motorcycles to raise money for the Michigan Veterans Trust Fund.
"Being out here helping the veterans out is the most important thing we can do right now," said Forgotten Eagles Chapter President, Richard Camp.
After their social gathering, the Forgotten Eagles traveled to Chassell, and then Calumet where they met with Chapter 2 of the Forgotten Eagles.
