The victim of a house explosion on Drummond Island has been identified as the resident of the home, according to the Michigan State Police.
The woman, who is not being named, was discovered in the wreckage of a home destroyed in an explosion on March 31. Police say that the woman was identified through dental records, but they are not planning to release her name.
Original reports were received after nearby residents heard and felt the explosion. The Drummond Island Fire Department responded to the scene to find the home at 34122 S. Sturgeon Bay Road completely destroyed
The cause of the explosion was most likely a propane leak, according to police.
