Marquette's Beacon House is getting some much needed renovation, and it won't cost them a dime.
Closner Construction, a local Marquette company, is giving the house a repair job with donated volunteer labor by its employees and donated supplies from local companies. Closner personnel say the house has done a lot for Marquette, and that this renovation was very much deserved.
"We've been looking at this thing for quite a few years," says Brad Adams of Closner Construction. "We know it's had some problems, and we just feel it was time to step up and actually help them take care of the problems."
The company hopes to be finished with the project sometime Saturday.
Midway Rental & Sales supplied two lifts, Sherwin Williams supplied the paint, Homemakers provided Efis system supplies, Norandex provided building materials, Pro Build provided building supplies, and Menards provided supplying materials.
