The YMCA of Marquette is still looking for volunteers, and runners, to participate in their 14th annual Run/Walk event.
The Run/Walk takes place this Saturday, starting with the one-mile Youth Run at 8:30a.m., followed by the 5K, 10K, and 10 Mile runs, and a Toddler Trot.
The course starts at the Y, goes down to Presque Isle along the bike path, and ends back at the Y.
Registration fees are $27 for adults, $22 for teens 13-17, and $17 for youth 12 and under.
"We also need volunteers for the event. Anything from volunteers that don't want to be outside, if they want to sit and help with registration or bag pick up. We have, if people want to be outside, we have a lot of needs for on the course. We try to make it the safest event, so we try to have at least 25 people on the course in every area," said Jenna Zdunek, Race Director.
The last chance to sign up is this Friday from 4-6p.m.
Strollers, pets, and wheelchairs are welcome at the event.
All of the proceeds benefit the YMCA's annual Campaign Program, which offers scholarships to those who want to participate at the Y, but cannot afford to.
