Volunteers from Wesley United Methodist Church in Ishpeming collected bags of food Saturday.
It was all a part of their annual Project Feed a Neighbor.
Last week the church asked people around Negaunee and Ishpeming to donate canned food items for people in need.
Residents put plastic bags filled with food outside their homes and on volunteers picked them up.
For some, it was their first time volunteering.
"It feels quite amazing. It's nice to know that I'm helping out my community and giving back. Being able to see people's happiness when they get all the stuff is quite exciting," said Taylor Croley, volunteer.
All of the items donated will be given to the Salvation Army and St. Vincent de Paul stores in Ishpeming, Negaunee, and Republic.
This was the fourth year for Project Feed a Neighbor.
