The 10th annual Marquette Area Blues Fest opens this Friday and runs all weekend at Marquette's Lower Harbor Park, but the festival is in need of volunteers.
Twenty volunteers are needed to work a four-hour shift, and during that time they'll help in the merchandise tent or work as security.
"Every volunteer who signs up and does a four-hour shift gets a free Blues Fest t-shirt," said volunteer coordinator Sue Minckler. "If they sign up for a second four-hour shift, we reimburse their ticket price of $45."
A free concert will be held Friday night from 6 to 8 p.m. to kick off the festival. Blues Fest runs Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 8 p.m. with nine musical acts set to play. For more information on how you can become a volunteer, visit the Marquette Area Blues Fest website here.
