The Superior Alliance for Independent Living is holding their 4th Walk and Roll event on Saturday, July 26 at Tourist Park.
The Walk and Roll will offer a 10k, 5k and half mile course. It is called the Walk and Roll because it invites anyone to traverse the course by any means that they choose. All of the proceeds will go to support SAIL's recreation program.
"It's to raise awareness about including everyone in the community, whether disabled or not, into community events," says SAIL program director Jessica Manier. "This event is all about educating and making aware that people with disabilities can participate in activities just like anyone else."
Registration will begin at 10 a.m. with the 10k taking off at 10:45 a.m. Registration costs $25 and all participants will get a free t-shirt.
