The Michigan State Police have announced the arrest of a second man suspected in the armed robbery of two Baraga County residents back in August.
According to the MSP, 46-year-old Bernard Fish was located during a traffic stop in Shawano, Wisconsin. He fled from police, but was eventually taken into custody.
Fish was lodged in the Brown County, Wisconsin jail, awaiting his court appearance on Thursday afternoon. According to Wisconsin officials, Fish waived his hearing in court on Thursday and is in the process of being extradited back to Michigan to face charges.
According to police, the suspect was wanted in connection to armed robbery that occurred in Watton. Original reports stated that Fish and a second suspect, 21-year-old Donavan Lee Waupoose, allegedly acted as federal agents and demanded ransom of $10,000 for two people in Watton. Waupoose was taken into custody several days after the alleged armed robbery.
There is no date set for when Fish will appear in a Michigan court.
