Residents in Marquette may experience discolored water due to a water main break that occurred on E. Washington Street on Thursday.
According to the Department of Public Works the water main break occurred during the E. Washington Street reconstruction project.
Officials say that taps may need to be run to let out any air and to flush discoloration. Grit may build up in the aerators located at the end of faucets, which can be cleaned out by removing the aerator and tapping out any grit.
If you continue to experience low water flow or discoloration, contact the Department of Public Works at (906) 228-0444.
