Crews from the Department of Public Works attended a water main break on Fair Avenue Tuesday morning.
According to the DPW, the six inch water main break was called in at 10 a.m. The break occurred near Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marquette, and has caused Fair Avenue to be closed to through traffic from the Peninsula Medical Center to Kimber Avenue.
Crews are attempting to find an avenue for the water to travel as they work on repairing the water main. The DPW also stated that a section of Woodland Avenue may also be closed while crews attempt to fix the issue.
The Redeemer Lutheran Church services are still planned to take place as scheduled.
