Fifth grade girls at Stambaugh Elementary received pampering and good lectures at this year's "Tween Event" on Thursday afternoon.
Each year the fifth grade girls have an afternoon of fun and learning as they get ready to head into middle school. This year's theme was based on the new movie, 'Frozen'. The girls learned about making good choices and becoming more confident. They were pampered by a visiting hair stylist, and enjoyed some great snacks. They also heard advice from current middle and high school students, and from their teachers.
??You need to choose the group of friends that you hang out with wisely, and to achieve your goals you have to work hard; they just don't poof like the fairytales,?? said student, Jordan Shamion.
This was the fourth year the school put on the event.
