The Western Marquette County Health Foundation has a new home.
Their office is now located at the Greater Ishpeming Negaunee Chamber of Commerce.
On Thursday several board members celebrated in a ribbon cutting event.
The foundation provides funding for health or wellness related projects or initiatives throughout western Marquette county.
Some projects they have been able help fund include the summer speech program, and keep kids warm.
"Building a new organization is never easy. When it comes to health and wellness I know I speak for everyone on the board we are all very passionate about the health and wellness of our community. It's just very gratifying to have a physical presence," said Jeff Nyquist, Vice Chair.
They currently have around eight million dollars allocated for grants.
The board reviews grant proposals twice a year.
