      Why are Marquette schools closed?

The Marquette Area Public School District was the only district to close in Upper Michigan on Friday, but why?

Marquette School Superintendent Bill Saunders says the wind chill temperature was why the district closed schools. He says the wind chill was -35 degrees at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, which was a danger to students waiting for buses.
