Woman extradited to Texas in infant death case

Jenna Farrey, arrested in Delta County, Michigan on a probation violation warrant

The El Paso, Texas woman that was taken into custody at a hotel in Escanaba has been sent back to Texas.

According to the Delta County Sheriff's Department, Jenna Farrey was extradited back to Texas on Tuesday. Farrey, 20, has an arrest warrant out for violating the terms of her five-year probation.

In 2012, she pled guilty to child abandonment and endangerment after leaving then three-month-old Blake Farrey in an apartment without adult supervision.

Jenna Farrey was arrested in November along with her husband, Jeffrey Farrey. Police say that the remains of their infant child, Jackson Farrey, were discovered in the desert of Orogrande, New Mexico.

Jeffrey Farrey has already been booked in the El Paso County Jail on charges of injury to a child by omission. There is no word on what charges Jenna Farrey might face regarding the alleged death of her infant son.
