Woman injured in early morning crash

Police say a 30-year-old Gwinn woman was taken to the hospital after a crash on M-28 early Wednesday morning.

According to police, Cori Lumbert lost control of her vehicle and struck a guardrail at around 4:46 a.m. on Wednesday. The Michigan State Police say the crash happened on M-28 near M-94 in Munising Township.

Lumbert was taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Police are still investigating the crash, but believe alcohol was a factor.
