One of the three people arrested for the robbery of the Grain 'N' Grape convenience store between Escanaba and Gladstone was sentenced on Monday.
Twenty-year-old Abby Beth Johnson of Escanaba was sentenced to one year in the Delta County Jail. She pled guilty to conspiracy to commit larceny in a building, a four-year felony, and attempted larceny in a building, a two-year misdemeanor.
Though originally investigated as an armed robbery, the prosecutor said it was an inside job and Johnson was not armed.
"A worker inside the store who conspired to do this and so clearly this was not an armed robbery and should not be perceived as one," said Voice of Prosecutor Steve Parks.
Johnson also pled guilty on Monday to larceny between $1,000 and $2,000 in a completely separate incident. She was sentenced to eleven months in jail on that conviction.
The sentences will run concurrently and Johnson must also pay multiple fines.
