A Gwinn woman whose vehicle collided with a train while intoxicated has been sentenced.
Twenty-four-year-old Samantha Jo French appeared in Marquette County Circuit Court Friday. She was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing serious injury. In March her car struck a train near Little Lake. She injured herself and three passengers, including her two young children.
"I put them in harm's way that day. I feel I've failed them, and no one could be more angry or disgusted with me than I am at myself for what I've done," said French.
French was sentenced to 11 months in jail and up to two years probation.
