A 21-year-old Marquette man faces two years in prison for allegedly abusing a vulnerable adult. Keith Gelsinger was arraigned Monday morning in Marquette County District Court.
The police report available in court said Keith Gelsinger physically cared for and had direct custody of Richard Gelsinger and that Keith intentionally caused harm to Richard. Keith was arrested on July 2. The alleged incident occured in Skandia Township. The charge of elder abuse is a high court misdemeanor, punishable by two years in prison.
Gelsinger was also charged with possession of marijuana. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 22 at 3:30 p.m. Michigan State Police said the investigation is ongoing and could not provide any further comment.
