The 1st annual Iron Range Roll run and bike race will kickoff on Saturday. The 16 mile point to point event offers a bike ride, run and even a relay race. The race will begin in Ishpeming and follow trails to the Marquette Commons and will offer a shuttle from Marquette to Ishpeming. The 40 Below Young Professionals Group is putting the event on to raise money for the Reach and Rise mentorship program.
"Its going to be a really great time just getting out on the trails, we have a lot of families registered," Vice President of 40 Below Victoria Leonhardt said. "We actually have a team of moms that are bringing their infants that are all under one year old and they're going to be doing a relay team."
The race begins Saturday at 1PM in Ishpeming. Walk up registrations will cost $40. There will be medals handed out for the top three finishers.
