A wildfire has scorched almost 33,000 acres on the Oregon- California border.
NBC News reports firefighters spent Saturday clearing "fuel" from the path of the gulch fire.
A lighting strike sparked the fire last week, and it now threatens nearly 300 structures.
Nearby neighborhoods have been evacuated, but the fire has destroyed at least three homes, along with some outbuildings and vehicles.
It's ten percent contained, and fire crews are targeting forest debris to help keep it from spreading.
