Former Calumet hockey player Ben Johnson is expected to be free on bond after being arrested on two separate incidents in Windsor, Ontario.
Johnson is a member of the Windsor Spitfires hockey team. Johnson is facing charges of sexual assault in the wake of a St. Patrick's Day incident with a 16-year-old girl.
Johnson appeared in provincial court in Windsor via video and was arraigned.
According to the Windsor Star, a second incident involves a 20-year-old woman who came forward after the investigation of the 16-year-old victim was underway.
The 18-year-old Johnson finished his second season with the Ontario hockey league's Windsor Spitfires on Sunday, then attended an end-of-season gathering with other players at the Mynt night club where the assault is alleged to have taken place.
The team has declined comment on the case at this time. Ben Johnson is a 2012 draft pick of the New Jersey Devils.
