Courtesy: Randy Larson, Blues' SpokesmanThe Marquette American Legion Blues hosted Gladstone on Thursday night in a Mid Pen Conference game at Gerard Haley field in north Marquette. The Blues, led by Ryan Hanson, came away with a 15-4, five inning shortened game. Hanson, who went a perfect 4-4 at the plate drove in six runs for the Blues in the contest. Also recording hits were Ryan Walther, Riley Lynch, McKinley Larson, Jared Tredeau and Trevor Bratonia. Getting the win on the mound was Colin O'Neal, who went 2 innings and gave up no hits and 2 unearned runs while striking out 3 and walking 2. Trevor Bratonia also threw 2 innings and gave up 3 hits with 1 earned and 2 strike outs. Luke Swajanen came in to close the door with a 1 hit 3 strikeout performance in the 5th inning. Absorbing the loss for Gladstone was Cody Frazier.
