Incoming Tech volleyball freshman to play at European Global Challenge

Michigan Tech volleyball recruit Lauren Emmert has been selected to the U-22 BIP Midwest Team for the upcoming 10th Annual European Global Challenge in Pula, Croatia, from July 13-17. Emmert is the only Division II player on a roster filled with players from Division I teams.

"We are very happy for Lauren and excited to know that she's part of an amazing opportunity," Tech volleyball coach Matt Jennings said. "I know some of her teammates on the team and their ability. She's surrounded by a great deal of talent, which is testament to what kind of player Lauren is. I hope they do well and she enjoys the trip."
