The Marquette Blues traveled to Ishpeming on Monday to finish a game from earlier in the season that was postponed due to weather. The Blues picked up where they left off and were able to finish the game in 5 innings 15-2. Ryan Hanson had two extra-base hits for the Blues. He singled in the first and fourth innings and doubled in the third and fifth innings and was 4-4 in the contest. Colin O'Neal kept contact to a minimum, striking out six Ishpeming batters. O'Neal allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks over five innings. Ryan Walther was 3-3 with 2 RBI's and McKinley Larson added 3 RBI's as well.

"Even though Daggett came back on us a little on Saturday, we have been playing really good ball as of late and this game was no exception. We showed up and were able to complete the game that we had started in the manner that we had started it. We hit the ball real well and Colin threw strikes and earned the victory. The two runs he gave up were the two walks he had. Walk two and give up a hit and an error and that will always equal runs scored," said Blues manager Derek Swajanen.

The Blues record improved to 26-14 as they head in to the last two games of the regular season.

"We have the Mid-Pen League Playoffs this weekend in Channing, a tournament in Plover and then the Zone Tournament at the end of the month. We're pretty happy with where we are now, the boys have really progressed and are tuning up for the home stretch. Hopefully we come out of the Zones in the top 2 and qualify for the State Tournament the first weekend in August," said Assistant Manager Randy Larson.
