The Marquette American Legion Blues hosted Channing on Wednesday night in a non-league game and came away with an 8-5 victory. Leading the way for the Blues was MacKinley Larson, who had two extra base hits, sparking the victory in seven innings. He tripled in the third inning and doubled in the sixth inning. Colin O'Neal recorded the win for the Blues. He allowed three runs over 3 1/3 innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered four hits. Riley Lynch , Ryan Hanson (3) and MacKinley Larson (2) combined for six hits and four RBIs. The Blues jumped out early, scoring two in the first and never looked back. They then tacked on another four runs in the third. Channing didn't go quietly and kept the game close as they scored 3 in fourth, but Ryan Hanson came in to pitch and got a strike out to end the inning. Trevor Bratonia came in for last inning and a third to close it out for the Blues. The Blues will next host the Marquette Reds on Thursday.
