      NMU skiers land two in top 20 at US Distance Championships and Super Tour Finals

      The Northern Michigan University Nordic Skiing team landed two skiers in the top 20 of the 10K and 15K freestyle races at the US Distance Championships and Super Tour Finals at Kincaid Park in Anchorage, Alaska Saturday.

      Junior Kyle Bratrud finished 14 th overall and third in the men's U23 class with a time of 39:34.5. Senior George Cartwright was 21 st overall and ninth in the men's U23 posting a race time of 40:21.2. Freshman Adam Martin was 34 th overall and the top men's U20 finisher clocking a time of 41:46.0.

      Senior Rosie Frankowski finished 17 th overall in the women's 10K race and fourth in the women's U23 class with a time of 29:52.4. Junior Mary Kate Cirelli was 29 th overall and 11 th in the women's U23 class clocking a time of 31:39.8.

      The Wildcats continue competition at the US Distance Championships and Super Tour Finals on Sunday with the classic races.
