David Price has joined the Detroit Tigers and says the clubhouse at Comerica Park has an All-Star feel.
The Tigers got the star pitcher from Tampa Bay on Thursday in a three-team trade that included Seattle.
Price was with the AL Central-leading Tigers for their game Saturday night against Colorado. He'll make his first start for his new team Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium against New York.
Price is now part of a rotation that includes Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander. They are the last three pitchers to win the AL Cy Young Award.
The 28-year-old Price says he was surprised to learn the Tigers were trying to trade for him.
Price is 11-8 with a 3.11 ERA and leads the majors with 189 strikeouts. The Tigers and star slugger Miguel Cabrera are trying for their fourth straight division title and hoping to win their first World Series since 1984.
