General Motors Co. says it hopes to have all 19,000 employees and contract workers back into their buildings at the automaker's massive Tech Center in Warren by Friday.
The GM Tech Center closed Aug. 12 when floods ravaged the Detroit suburb following record rainfall.
GM spokeswoman Katie McBride tells The Detroit News (http://bit.ly/1ldiQBT ) that as of Monday, 15,500 employees and contractors are working from the Tech Center.
According to McBride, the 3,500 employees who remain impacted are working remotely and from other sites while the cleanup continues.
The Tech Center houses workers in areas such as engineering, design, research and development, customer service and information technology.
