Staff at ACE highlight importance of maintaining snowblowers before winter

ISHPEMING, Mich. (WLUC) - As winter nears, staff at ACE Hardware are highlighting the importance of maintaining and readying your snowblower.

Store owner Brad Argall says that the most common issue with snowblowers is ‘bad gas,’ or gas that was left in the snowblower from the prior year.

He says yearly maintenance will prolong your snowblower’s life, and you should have it checked sooner rather than later.

“Recommend an oil change and if you have more problems with it. You can obviously bring it on to us or any other snowblower service place in the area, but just being prepared, especially after last winter, is a great idea,” said Argall.

Argall also mentioned that electric snowblowers typically need less maintenance than gas-powered snowblowers.
